Rum Runners

Rum Runners is a classic 8 bit platform shooter project, inspired by games such as Mega Man, Contra, and Rush N Attack. 

Completed as part of my Digital and Interactive Game Development course.

You play as Ford - a Bureau of Prohibition agent in New York during the 1920's, facing off against booze smuggling gansters running wild in the streets. Can you take down Lucky the Mob Boss and bring order back to the streets of New York?

Controls:

Move the player using the arrow keys and climb ladders with up and down (or use WASD). 

Shoot using Left Ctrl (or rebind Fire1) - you can aim in 8 directions using the movement keys.

Jump using space bar.

Pause/Unpause the game with P - you can restart or quit the game from the pause menu.
